Sharlotte Gibson Supporting Vocalist, Arranger, Song Writer:
That voice. Whether it's dipped in sultry soul or smooth jazz or raucous rock 'n' roll, its all about that voice.
That voice belongs to Sharlotte Gibson. An acclaimed singer-songwriter- performer. This Los Angeles-based musician has done it all. Whether she's lending supporting vocals to such artists as Whitney Houston or Mariah Carey, or leading her band Sharlotte's Web through a tight set of original tunes, Sharlotte has made quite an impression on the music world.
On her way to becoming one of the most in-demand vocalists, Sharlotte has worked with some of the best and brightest in the record business. Beginning in 1995 singing with R & B artist Brandy, Sharlotte quickly made an impression with industry heavyweights, landing her the role of supporting vocalists for superstar Whitney Houston's world tour. She soon followed with gigs supporting such greats as Luther Vandross, Patti Austin, Celine Dion, Al Green and Snoop Dogg, among others.
And it's been going non-stop ever since. Sharlotte quickly began performing on television with artists like Beyonce Knowles, Mary J. Blige, Berlin, Liz Phair and many others, leading up to her being asked to perform at an event that changed her life.
Returning home after experiencing the horror of 9/11 while in New York City, Sharlotte answered the call to help aide the victims and their families. On September 21, 2001, singing with superstar Mariah Carey, the song “Hero” and the release of the CD "A Tribute to Heroes” took on new meaning to a nation still in shock.
This experience has partly led to the success of Sharlotte's Web. Her deeply personal lyrics and tightly-crafted pop songs, along with that voice - sometimes defiant, at times broken-hearted, uncommonly warm and loving, place Sharlotte at the forefront of today's best singer-songwriters.
Just listen to songs such as “Madeline”, “Knight Time In Hollywood”, or “Dream” from her latest release Half Plugged, and you will hear why people are flocking to her live performances. One of the most energetic live artists around, Sharlotte on stage is more an experience than just another show.
Recently performing and interviewing with Gigi Iam on The Gigi, Inc. Show.
It's all about that voice.
